The Petition:

"I support the creation of a South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary. The South Atlantic is an important whale conservation area that provides the bordering nations with opportunities to develop whale-watching operations. In addition, the Sanctuary would provide a safe area to conduct humane scientific research. "I call on the International Whaling Commission to approve the South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary during its annual meeting that starts on June 23rd, 2008, in Santiago, Chile."
