They try to stay out of the dirtiest part of the work themselves, instead acting as middlemen, brokering sales of puppies from puppy mills to pet stores.

Hunte is having a conference for its 'breeders' this coming September. Most of the sponsors of this conference have dropped out under pressure from people who care about the welfare of animals, but one large sponsor remains: Pfizer Animal Health has confirmed via a document that they have provided (see the link) that they continue to sponsor the conference. I have personally called Pfizer to verify the accuracy of this information."
