The commercial trade in wild animals is a multi-billion dollar industry that threatens the survival of many species and results in the inhumane treatment of countless animals every year.

While shopping (including online) or traveling, you may come across items made from wild animal parts, or attractions that keep animals captive under inhumane conditions. Some places even sell wild animals as pets. Be aware of what you may find so that you will not contribute to the illegal wildlife trade, harm wildlife populations or patronize facilities where animals are suffering.

I pledge to not buy items made with or from wild animal parts, to not purchase live wild animals as pets or for any other purpose, and to not patronize facilities that keep animals captive under inhumane conditions.
